Hi, I’m Lily Metcalfe — a photographer inspired by coastal landscapes, historic architecture, and the stories places hold.
I grew up on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts, where centuries-old homes, cobblestone streets, and sweeping ocean views first shaped my appreciation for photography and the character of built environments. After spending time in Boston and now calling Charleston, South Carolina home, I’ve continued to be drawn to cities rich in history, architecture, and coastal beauty.
My work focuses on capturing spaces with an eye for light, composition, and architectural detail, highlighting the craftsmanship and atmosphere that make each place unique. Whether photographing historic streetscapes, thoughtfully designed interiors, or coastal environments, I aim to create images that feel both timeless and authentic.
As an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, I also incorporate aerial photography to reveal a broader perspective — showcasing how architecture, landscape, and surrounding communities connect.
Through photography, I strive to document places in a way that honors their history, design, and sense of place.
